Antique Ford Cars
Sunday, March 1, 2015
I'm not very much into cars, but even I could see the beauty of this lovely illustration. It's a close-up of a part of a 1928 vintage ad for Ford cars, and the vivid colors of the cars contrasted with the soft pastel colors of the buildings, and the geometric lines throughout, make this one a favorite of mine.
Victorian Bride
Another bride, but this time a simple black and white Victorian illustration from an 1853 issue of Harper's magazine.
Edwardian Bride
This beautiful Edwardian bride comes from the cover of the June 1902 issue of Ladies Home Journal magazine. I love the way the bold golden yellow color of the background contrasts with the simple black and white illustration.
